The third discipline of JJIF will be named Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu/ Ne-Waza.
The number of weight categories will be increased to 10 divisions: Men: -62kg/ -69kg/ – 77kg/ – 85kg/ -94kg/ + 94kg Women: -55kg/ -62kg/ -70kg/ +70 kg
Fighting U15: kicks and punches towards the head will only be allowed without contact throws and take downs will be limited to avoid dangerous situations (detailed explanations will follow)

Ben DeLeon was a true JuJitsu master. As a 9th Dan Black Belt and USA National Head Coach, he trained many athletes for the JJIF World Championships. More than his amazing martial arts skills, he was a good friend and caring and humble person. Ben passed away February 28, 2013 and he will always be missed.
